If you’ve ever wanted to fix your broken funnel copy, then you’re reading the right article. That’s because you’re about to discover the easy 5-step method for fixing a broken funnel copy and ramp up the sales you desire.

And the good news is that this method works even if you’re not a funnel expert or an A-list copywriter.

Giant marketers like Todd Brown and Michael Shreeve alluded to using similar method which goes to show the effectiveness of it, and today, you too can use the same method to get your funnel copy converting as it should.

But before we get into the method, it’s important to understand that the only real way to know if your fix has improved upon the original one is to run a split test and have a statistically significant sample size.

An accurate testing format is running 50–100 sales to the front end to test something. It could be the order bump or upsell.

There are steps to be taken after carrying out the test and have your observations down to start optimizing the funnel.

It’s also very important to note that the OFFER is the most important thing when it comes to selling something online and with that said, let’s get into the steps to follow and get your broken funnel copy converting.

Step 1: If you’re making sales but not enough to breakeven or profit on your funnel,

You don’t have to fix your offer yet. Many marketers and business owners get this wrong and in most cases end up messing up sales by tampering with what they shouldn’t have, with that said, let’s move on to the next step.

Step 2: If you aren’t making any sales at all, you should consider testing the price point.

The price range of your front-end offer plays a huge role in influencing the decision of your buyers if they’d be prepared to shell out extra cash for order bumps or whatnot.

A front-end price of $47, $67, or $97 could be a factor of influence hence tweaking it lower might kick off sales in droves. If that kicks off sale, now you can start fixing the copy which leads us to the next step.

Step 3: After tweaking with the price and no order bumps or upsell purchases then you should consider changing the offer.

However, if you’re making some sales at different price entry points but still not as much as you want, test a new copy.

Fixing The Front-end

Step 4: If you have a low price range from $3.99 — $27 for a digital product (a book or course), it might be the wrong offer.

However, if you’re making some sales but not enough, you can tweak everything else before touching the offer.

Furthermore, if the sales volume is not as expected for what you need (realistically), then it is not an offer issue and time to fix the ad copy/creative.

If it was mailed, check the headline. It should be optimized for your ideal customer and not just random for everyone.

Your ad should prep your ideal customer for what they’d be experiencing on your sales/landing page. Now you’ve tested your ads and it’s starting to work a little but not where you want and it brings me to the next and final step to take which is to

Step 5: Fix the big idea (the benefit and unique solution you’re offering).

Examine the headline and the rest of the page to make sure the message is in alignment with your big idea. A specific promise and who your product is for e.g

“Increase Your Open/Click Through Rate With This Method/Course/Pack And Sell More”

How does that sound? There is no clear promise on what the course will do, it sounds like every other product obtainable on the net but let’s have another example of being concise with your big ‘ideation’ and conciseness

“This Book/Course/Template will help you Increase Your Open Rate & Sales By 40%, Have More Cash Flow To Hire The Best Talents, Delegate & Expand Your Business”

Quite long but I’m sure you get the point already. Clear promise and benefits.

Funnels are assets that improve over time. As the ad lasts on Facebook or any medium you make use of, the algorithm begins to send you the right people at a low cost. Also, Seek ways to keep improving and refreshing the campaign like asking early buyers for feedback and add to the promo.

The Big Picture

The main objective is to have the right mechanisms in place in retaining buyers and turning them into high ticket or premium clients.

To recap

  1. If you’re not making any sales, it’s an offer problem.
  2. If you’re making little sales, consider tweaking other things before touching your offer.
  3. If you’ve tweaked things and it keeps improving, consider improving your offer and not replace it.
  4. If you’ve tweaked everything and it’s still not working then it’s time for a complete overhaul in addition to all the tweaking you’ve made.
  5. If you’ve done all as stated and see no improvement with sales, improve your offers.

And there you have it — a simple 5-step method for fixing a broken funnel copy. Now that you know how to fix your broken funnel copy, there’s just one thing left for you to do: take action.

So get to it, and soon you too will fix your broken funnel copy without hiring funnel experts!
